Safety Talk

Our masks follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendation for three layers of cloth protection, and adding the removable filter provides a fourth layer. The masks are designed to capture droplets from coughing, sneezing, and breathing and keep them out of the air we share with others. Our filter inserts use locally sourced materials.

The CDC does NOT recommend N95 respirators/masks for the general public – the supply of these critical devices should be saved for our healthcare workers and vulnerable populations. N95 masks are designed to block 95% of particles as small as 0.3 micron. While we cannot guarantee the same 95% rate, our filters ARE rated to capture particles as small as 0.3 micron – the same small size as N95 masks.

The safest way to avoid any contact with the COVID-19 virus and guarantee your safety and the safety of others is to practice responsible social distancing and hygienic practices.

Our mask patterns are freely shared and the instructions are available to anyone who wants them. If we can help you crowd-source this for your community, we will. Just let us know how we can help at Together, skydivers and their communities can make a difference.
